Fox Rothschild’s Chester County Office has donated more than $9,000 to the United Way of Chester County during its two-month fundraising campaign. A check totaling $9,485 was presented by firm attorneys Derald J. Hay and Elizabeth S. Wood to Toren Peterson, campaign account manager.
The fundraising campaign, headed up by Hay, kicked off Oct. 1. During the campaign, the firm’s Chester County office held a silent auction, in which items such as a family game night basket and a donation of country club golf outings with partners were up for bidding. The office also held weekly raffles to raise funds and gave the option to participants to donate directly to the United Way or to a more specific United Way member agency.
The United Way of Chester County’s mission is to create positive changes in its community for all those in need. The organization’s efforts are based on the involvement of its community in securing funding for community programs such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of SEPA, The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, the Chester County Food Bank and more.
