Fox Rothschild staff and attorneys donated more than $26,000 to the Haiti Relief Fund during the firm's "Haiti Relief Day" held on Jan. 19. In recognition of the individual generosity, the firm is making a matching contribution equal to 50 percent of the total individual contributions, for a sum of more than $40,000 to be donated to the American Red Cross.
The firm's "Haiti Relief Day" invited staff and attorneys across all of the firm's 15 offices nationwide to dress casually for the day in exchange for a donation to the American Red Cross, which is working to provide emergency relief and recovery assistance to the people of Haiti.
"The Fox Rothschild family has always supported those in need," said Mark Silow, administrative partner of Fox Rothschild. "It was our privilege to partake in what is essentially a worldwide effort to help the people of Haiti as they confront the effects of the recent disaster, and we are honored and proud to support the Red Cross in its mission there."
The Red Cross is a charitable organization that shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families.
